Goodwill Both Gucci?
I recently received a press release promoting a new store called Goodwill Store. Read the headline.? "Concept Store Community Tustin overflows with articles realigned brand, including brands like Gucci and Christian Dior" My first reaction What, where, when, how and why am I still sitting here?
I'm not a big Thrifter. The process of collecting piles of clothes before maybe, you might find a little gem I've always been intimidated. I like the idea of ??someone else do the hard work, even if it means a small fee premium.
The store, located in a shopping center in the old town of Tustin, is trendy little sister goodwill. It is always fixed (certainly not as a "boutique-y" as I had imagined it), but it feels closed, as if you walk into a vintage Urban Outfitters. Warhol art style grip on the exposed brick walls, chandeliers, while hang up. A model wears a dress made from old records. Near locker rooms plush, upholstered chairs.
Sifting through the racks is still a bit dizzy. There are many articles about all styles (all arranged by color), Day, Evening Dresses, Wedding Dresses, rows of denim, handbags and other accessories, clothing for men, tips for kids, a portion of the shoe sole, and household goods. The loot is not as aggressive as Commissioner Buffalo Exchange resale or other chic boutiques, there are many styles of last season, and some elements looked very well worn, but I did spot some winners including a sweet pair of suede heels Aldo for $ 12 , 99, Rock & Republic jeans for $ 14.99 and a flashing blue Betsey Johnson mini dress for $ 7.99. Unfortunately I did not Gucci (or other luxury brands, for that matter) seen. Maybe next time The store receives daily deliveries of donated designer goods and department stores.
While thrifting professionals will tell you that it makes better options in OC, the Goodwill Special Boutique, is that it is good, good will. Every purchase helps people with disabilities find employment, to become independent, and themselves and their families. Stop and be fabulous twice!
